Shots Fired at Mr. Tempo Restaurant Early Thursday Morning; No Injuries Reported

El Centro, Calif. — An early morning incident at Mr. Tempo on Imperial Avenue prompted a swift response from law enforcement after shots were fired inside the restaurant on Thursday, June 13.

According to the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office activity logs, deputies responded to the report at approximately 12:35 a.m. Several individuals were seen running out of the venue as officers arrived. Law enforcement assisted with securing the area, conducted a search of the premises, and handled crowd control.

Authorities recovered a firearm and two shell casings from the scene. No injuries were reported, and no suspect information was released at the time of the incident.

Additionally, video circulating online showed a fight in the parking lot a week prior; it is unknown if the incident is connected to the shooting.

In a statement released by Mr. Tempo, management acknowledged the situation and noted that it involved a guest who made a threatening comment toward another. The business emphasized that everyone was safe and thanked local authorities for their quick and professional response. “Your safety is our top priority,” the statement said. “We remain fully committed to providing a welcoming, secure, and enjoyable experience for all.”
