LA28 Ticket Draw Registration Now Open for 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games: What to Know
LOS ANGELES — Organizers of the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games have opened registration for the first Olympic Games ticket draw, giving fans an early opportunity to secure seats for events scheduled to take place across Los Angeles and surrounding regions in the summer of 2028.
According to LA28 officials, the Olympic Games will run from July 14 through July 30, 2028, followed by the Paralympic Games from August 15 through August 27, 2028. Ticket sales for Olympic events will begin in April 2026, while Paralympic Games ticket sales are expected to begin in 2027.
How the Ticketing Process Works
Tickets for the Olympic Games will be released through multiple ticket drops rather than a single public sale. To participate, fans must first register for the LA28 ticket draw during the current registration period, which runs from January 14 through March 18, 2026.
After the registration period closes, applicants will be notified by email between March 31 and April 7 regarding whether they have been assigned a time slot to purchase tickets. Those selected will be able to buy tickets during their designated window when sales begin.
The first Olympic ticket sale, known as Ticket Drop 1, is scheduled for April 9 through April 19, 2026. Purchases are limited to a maximum of 12 tickets per person, although limits may vary by sport and remain subject to change.
LA28 officials also announced a presale period for residents of eligible counties in the Los Angeles and Oklahoma City areas. The LA & OKC Locals Presale is scheduled to take place from April 2 through April 6, 2026. Eligible local residents must still register for the draw and be selected in order to participate.
Once registered, individuals will automatically be entered into future ticket draws until they reach the maximum ticket allotment, eliminating the need to re-register for each drop.

Organizers emphasized that registration for the ticket draw is required even for those who have previously signed up to receive LA28 email updates. Additional information, including details about future ticket drops and Paralympic Games ticket sales, is expected to be released at a later date.
