NAF El Centro Announces Winner of 2026 Airshow Poster Contest
EL CENTRO, Calif. — Naval Air Facility El Centro has announced the winner of its 2026 Airshow Poster Contest.
Marco Bejarano of El Centro was selected as the winner, with his design chosen from a number of submissions to serve as the official artwork for the 2026 NAF El Centro Airshow. According to the installation, his artwork will serve as the foundation of the final poster and will be featured prominently on the airshow’s website, social media platforms, and other promotional materials.
Captain Ryan Carstens, Commanding Officer of NAF El Centro, stated that the selection team was impressed with the level of talent and creativity demonstrated in the contest submissions. He said Bejarano’s design captures the excitement and spirit of the annual airshow and will represent this year’s event.
The annual airshow is considered a major event for the Imperial Valley community and draws thousands of visitors each year. Attendees have the opportunity to see military and civilian performers demonstrate aerial skill and precision.
Commissioned in 1946, NAF El Centro has operated in the Imperial Valley for decades as a training ground for naval aviators. The installation is also the winter home of the U.S. Navy’s flight demonstration squadron, the Blue Angels.
Naval Air Facility El Centro provides training support to active and reserve aviation units of the U.S. Navy and supports combat readiness operations.
