Two Men Found Dead in Winterhaven Home; ICSO investigates

WINTERHAVEN — The Imperial County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation after two men were found dead Friday evening in Winterhaven.

According to a press release from the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office, deputies from the Winterhaven Patrol Division responded around 6:30 p.m. on October 10 to a residence in the 500 block of Railroad Avenue following a report of two deceased individuals.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered two adult males who had both sustained apparent gunshot wounds. The Sheriff’s Investigations Unit, assisted by the Scientific Investigations Unit and the Coroner’s Office, immediately began investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

The incident is being treated as a suspicious death investigation. However, preliminary findings indicate there are no outstanding suspects and no known threat to public safety at this time.
